ABOUT ASH
I help parents understand the nervous system
behind behaviour.
20 years working with children, young people and families. A Masters in Social Work. A Diploma in Play Therapy. And a mum of two - which means I understand this from both sides.

MY STORY
It started in Paris..
My journey began working in a college in Paris, France - supporting students with their English skills. But I was quickly given some much more important tasks: helping them with their emotional wellbeing, relationships and social struggles.

That was the moment I knew. This was the work I was meant to do.

I returned to the UK and gained a Masters in Social Work. From the very beginning, my priority was working therapeutically with children - supporting them through some of the most complex and challenging times in their lives.
Why the nervous system?.
In 2021, I deepened my practise by training in Play Therapy with PTUK and APAC via Leeds Beckett and Chichester Universities. What I found changed everything not only about how I understand children's behaviour but how I understand myself and our nervous system as a family.

Behaviour is never random. It's always communication. And when you understand the nervous system beneath it - the dysregulation, the bids for connection, the fight and flight responses - everything shifts.

That is exactly what I want to give to every parent I work with. Not a list of techniques. A completely new way of seeing.
"Everyday, I am grateful to be able to do the job that I do. It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of a child's therapeutic journey."

WHAT I BELIEVE
The values that shape everything
Behaviour is communication
Every difficult behaviour is a child's nervous system asking for something. When we understand the ask, we can meet the need.
Connection before correction

A child who feels connected is a child who can cooperate. Regulation follows relationship - always.
Parents need support too

You cannot co-regulate your child from a place of dysregulation. Your nervous system matters just as much as theirs.
